Ms. Summer Resendiz is a first-generation college student with a deep passion for teaching. She has dedicated her career to supporting and empowering students. With experience as a Behavior Therapist working with children with autism, Ms. Summer is currently pursuing an AS and AA in Early Childhood Education, an AA in Child Development and Educational Studies, and holds an Early Childhood Teacher Certificate.
She has experience working with “Loose Parts” from the Reggio Emilia approach and incorporating STEAM activities for children ages 5-13. As an aspiring bilingual educator, she proudly holds a State Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. She has supported students in becoming redesignated English speakers and has also tutored students to enhance their Spanish skills.
Through her years of experience working with children, Ms. Summer has developed a strong belief in the power of play and the importance of collaboration between teachers and parents to ensure that every child has the tools they need to thrive and succeed in their educational journey.
